D.D. WILLIAMSON’S BILL KAMUF HONORED
AT ISBT’S 54th ANNUAL MEETING
 
LOUISVILLE, KY, USA -- (May 8, 2007) -- D.D. Williamson announces that William “Bill” Kamuf was recently honored at the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT) 54th Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
 
Cargill’s Stefanie Ringo, President of ISBT, recognized Kamuf’s contribution to ISBT on April 30th in her opening speech of the three-day event. “There are many people who have helped our Society over the years evolve into the strong organization that it is today,” commented Ringo. “Those retiring from the industry will be missed, and we thank them for their contributions. For Bill Kamuf of D.D. Williamson, this is his last annual meeting. Bill has been attending ISBT meetings for over 25 years and has made many friends during this time.” Ringo concluded, “Bill, we will miss you and wish you the best in your retirement."
 
Known around the world as the Caramel Color Guru, Kamuf is a technical leader in the caramel color industry. Among his many accomplishments throughout his 29-year career at D.D. Williamson, Kamuf has been an active member of the ISBT providing the technical and regulatory update for caramel color on the Ingredient Technology Committee. A member of the International Technical Caramel Association (ITCA) since 1978, Kamuf has served on its Board of Directors for decades. In 1985 the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), the premiere international scientific society of food professionals, awarded Kamuf the Outstanding Achievement Award for his service to the Bluegrass (Kentucky) section. Through the years, Kamuf has served his section as Treasurer, Chair Elect, Chairman, and National Councilor.
